Hi guys! Hope you all had a nice Easter. Spring is almost kinda here! A bit up and down but peeking it’s head through every now and again. And with it just around the corner are the perfect Spring colours to go with it. Pantone announced their colour of the year 2016 (well, this year for the first time ever “colours”) Rose Quartz and Serenity the end of last year. The soft candy pastels are perfectly paired for this season. Obviously you’re not going to change your entire room every time Pantone or whoever says what colour is the trend for “now”. But if you look behind the reasoning of why those two colours were chosen you can see why it makes a welcome combination.
If you go to the Pantone website you can see there’s a short video as a background explanation before introducing the colours. Referring the constant on, the 24 hour access we give to others through the media. The information/digital conceptual age we live is great but can often be a drain. Sometimes we need to get back to basics. As hard as that might be to put your phone down or switch that laptop off. Balance, peace and just sssh is needed for even a bit. And like I said before you don’t necessarily have to do that with the 2016 Pantone colours Rose Quartz and Serenity…
So instead of giving you probably what you expected …maybe some items and accessories for the home in those particular colours. I’d like to give you some inspiration of creating a more tranquil space not just for spring but all year round. For a space that’s gentle, composed and light weight that can bring you back from the digital space that surrounds us. Plus not all you are going to like those colours so I thought I’d go a different route to begin with. However I might leave the Rose Quartz and Serenity décor for another time!
