A look back few of my favourites from the month of July. I only bought a couple of new things and then I have some of my usual summer staples.
1. White Feather Designs Necklace
I bought this gorgeous enamel necklace from White Feather Designs. I came across their stand at the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition and was deciding for ages between a blue pendant and this green one that I eventually chose. They’re made from brass and hand painted.
2. NYX Matte Liquid Eyeliner
Four months without this eyeliner! (I felt I couldn’t throw the replacement out before I finished it) I couldn’t find it anywhere, so I had to buy something else for the eyeliner. It wasn’t good. Panda eyes half way through the day and reapplication. NYX eyeliner stays on the upper lid where it’s supposed to be. Glad to have this back! I’ve been really liking NYX products lately and a couple featured in my last month’s favourites.
3. Now Avocado Oil
My staple throughout the year but especially during the summer months. Avocado oil takes the none budge NYX eyeliner off no problem. Of course it’s also great for the rest of your body and is great to use on my hair. I run out pretty fast, always a back up on hand.
4. Macadamia Leave in Cream
I’ve tried other products from the Macadamia line. Their shampoo and the hair mask (which I love but I wish they’d make it a bit bigger!) When I do my wash days, which can be a bit of a process, I felt like I needed a bit extra moisture for my curly hair. I tried other leave in’s but I felt like they didn’t do anything for me. This one sinks in to my hair and leaves it extra soft without leaving it heavy and greasy. And it’s a big size! Winner!
5. Pin Stripe Jumpsuit
I picked mine, a red pinstripe Forever 21. I had a lot compliments when I wore it. And it’s a lightweight fabric so even though it’s a jumpsuit I felt really comfortable in it, I wore it to the AZ Awards. They no longer have mine available but they have a version in a playsuit perfect for this hotter weather.
6. Pink Nail Varnish – Essie Touch Up
Still big on trend from last year, the Rose Quartz scene. I’m only just starting to get in to it. Essie’s pink colour is pink has an edge to it. More “androgynous” apparently that’s what we now call ‘Millennial Pink’. Pink. Millennial Pink, Touch Up, this one I like.
